This comprehensive workshop will guide you through the various techniques to catch floats efficiently, with a special focus on the tips and tricks of the remarkably invisible method - Ladderback Jacquard.
In this workshop, we will dive into the world of stranded colourwork knitting. We'll kick things off with a quick overview of its key features and float management techniques, then take a closer look at the ladderback jacquard method. To bring the theory to life, we'll work on a small swatch together.
By the end of the session, you'll have a solid understanding of the ladderback jacquard method and how to use it in your future stranded projects. With this new skill, you'll be ready to take on a wider range of colourwork motifs.
Level of Experience: Intermediate.
Prerequisites and Materials
You should have basic knitting skills, including knitting and purling and knit increases.
While experience with colourwork is ideal, it's not necessary.
You will need:
- fingering to DK weight yarn in two contrasting solid colours.
- needles suitable for the chosen yarn

The workshop takes place upstairs in the store which is accessed via a spiral staircase.
We need a minimum of 4 bookings for this course to go ahead. If we do not meet the minimum you will be offered a new date or a refund.
