Knit With Me

In Person My First Knitted Sock Workshop - Sunday 21st, 28th January & 4th February 2024, 2pm-4pm

$178.00

I’m super excited that you are interested in making your first knitted socks. I remember making my first pair and being blown away with such a sense of achievement and I know you will too.

This course is perfect for people who are happy and experienced with casting-on, joining in the round and knitting and purling whilst using the magic loop technique. I will be teaching you how to knit a cuff down sock with a heel flap, heel turn, gusset and a grafted toe. Our classes are now limited to 4 students which means you get lots of the teachers time and attention.

All materials provided as below (you don't need to bring anything except yourself and enthusiasm for using your knitting experience)

● Sock Pattern
● Darning needles, scissors and tape measure for use in class.
●. 100g of Manos del Uruguay Alegria Grande sock yarn
●. set of 80cm circular knitting needles and set of sock shortie circular needles.

2. How to chose which sock size to knit

Session Two – 2.5 hrs

Please do not worry about getting to the correct point of your own sock for each class. If you are unable to get enough knitting done between classes I will have practice materials ready for you to practice the techniques in class.

This course requires at least two booking to go ahead. If 48 hours before the class begins only one booking has been made then the course will be cancelled and either a refund or a different date will be offered.

Important Information - The workshops take place upstairs in the shop which is accessed via a spiral staircase. The toilets are in the basement and are accessed, you guess it, via a spiral staircase.
