Tubular Bead Crochet Bracelet Workshop - Saturday 25th January 2025, 10am-1pm
Knit With Me is very honoured to have the wonderful Florence Spurling back at Knit With Me and this time with her crochet hook!
This class is perfect for those looking to add to their existing crochet repertoire. Beaded ropes are a fun and exciting crochet method, enabling you to make your own beautiful hand crafted jewellery pieces and adornments. You should already be comfortable using a crochet hook, creating chain stitches and slip stitches.
Learn how to select beads and relevant thread choices for your crochet rope. Explore the design process of creating colour effects and patterns through the stringing method. Master the basic stitch and technique, as well as tips on beginning and
finishing your piece easily and professionally. Understand how you can create your own unique pieces by experimenting with combinations of bead colours, sizes and finishes.
You will need to bring the following materials with you for the workshop
DK yarn and appropriate-sized hook for yarn.
Materials provided and included in the cost of the workshop
4 bags of size 6 beads per participant
Use of scissors, tapestry needles, sewing thread and tape measure in session.

The workshop takes place upstairs in the store which is accessed via a spiral staircase.
We need a minimum of 4 bookings for this course to go ahead. If we do not meet the minimum 4 days before the workshop you will be offered a new date or a refund.
Due to the small numbers of spaces please let us know as soon as possible if you can no longer attend as a refund can only be offered if we are able to fill your space.
About Florence
Florence Spurling is a textile designer who specializes in knitted, crocheted and embellished fabrications. Originally from Oxfordshire, England, she trained in London where she received a Masters in Textile Design from The Royal College of Art. Florence is passionate about creating unique, tactile and desirable fabrics that display her love of detail and craftsmanship. She creates designs for the contemporary hand knitter that mix colour, texture and pattern in distinctive ways. When not designing under her own name, Florence works on fashion knitwear development for clients such as Anthropologie, Chloe, Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors. Florence is the author of Designing Knitted Textiles: Machine Knitting for Fashion, Laurence King Publishing, 2021.
