Knit With Me

Learn to Crochet your first Amigurumi - Wednesday 12th February 2025, 6pm-9pm

£79.00
Amigurumi is a Japanese art form of crocheting or knitting small stuffed yarn creatures. The word is a combination of the Japanese words ami, meaning "crocheted or knitted", and nuigurumi, meaning "stuffed doll". Amigurumi can be made into a variety of shapes, including animals, dolls, food, and flowers. They are often made with simple stitches using a small crochet hook and filled.

This workshop is the perfect introduction to the technique where we make a little octopus called Orla. This allows us to learn the magic circle technique which creates a neat closed start to the stuffed shape, increases and decreases and finishing techniques and tips on stuffing your finished figure. These are the basic techniques used in all Amigurumi figures so a world of possibilities will open up to you once you have completed your Orla.

This workshop assumes you are comfortable with the chain stitch and the UK Double Crochet stitch.

You don't need to bring anything with you as all materials are provided and included in the price of the workshop.
