Majo Garn Yarn Collection

Majo Garn takes the Danish word for yarn as its surname, and this small Scandinavian label currently appears in the shop through a single base, Puno Fine. It shares a name with Puno, the Peruvian city on the shore of Lake Titicaca at the heart of alpaca country, and the yarn blends alpaca's warmth with merino and cotton for structure. Fine needles around 3mm suit it best, producing light, drapey fabric at roughly 24 to 28 stitches per 10cm. It makes a strong candidate for layering pieces, where warmth matters but bulk would spoil the line.
