Zakami yarns are dyed in small batches in Scotland by a two-person studio with a long-term plan to keep its own alpacas. Suri alpaca is something of a speciality, appearing both blended with silk and as a pure brushed yarn with a long, glossy halo; suri is the rarer of the two alpaca breeds, prized for its silky lustre. Corriedale wool and a merino-silk fingering base round out the line, each dyed in tonal, speckled, and variegated colourways. A scarf kit pairs the brushed suri with a matching pattern.
