Introduction to Cables Workshop
Interested in dipping your toe into knitting cables? Perfect! This introductory session is for those who are interested in learning how to make stunning woven structures with a cable needle. This workshop is designed to take you through difference right and left leaning cable knitting techniques whilst we cover reading cable patterns and cable charts. Have a go at knitting a basic cable together and then pick from a selection of patterns to work on in the workshop. it will be assumed you know how to cast on stitches, knit, purl and bind off stitches,
What do I need to bring with me?
● DK or Worsted weigh yarn. Chose a smooth yarn (non fluffy) yarn without lots of colour variation.
● Relevant gauge knitting needles for your chosen yarn.
What materials are provided?
● A range of different cable patterns to try out and practice.
● Cable needle
● Darning needles, scissors and tape measures for use whilst in class

The workshops take place upstairs in the shop which is accessed via a spiral staircase.
This course requires at least 3 booking to go ahead, if we do not reach the minimum number of bookings you will be offered a different date or a refund.
Due to the small number of spaces available please do let us know as soon as possible if you can no longer attend as we can only offer a refund if we are able to fill your spot.
