About the Corriedale Yarn Collection
Crossing Merino with English Lincoln sheep in nineteenth-century New Zealand produced Corriedale, a breed whose wool balances softness against real durability. The staples are long and even, which makes for smooth spinning and garments that resist pilling better than those made from finer fibres. Here it appears in a sport-weight yarn spun in Devon from Falkland Islands fleece, with colourways named after songs, and in small-batch hand-dyed skeins from a Scottish studio. The bouncy twist favours cables and textured patterns, which stay sharply defined after blocking.
