Crochet Courses

Crochet can be learnt in an afternoon, and the beginner course here starts with holding the hook and ends with real fabric. From there the courses branch by interest. Granny square sessions teach the motif that built a thousand blankets, joining colourful squares into something useful from the first session. An amigurumi class covers working in the round, shaping and stuffing a first toy. The most unusual offering is Tunisian crochet, a technique worked on a long hook that holds a whole row of loops at once, producing a dense, woven looking fabric.
