Introduction to Tunisian Crochet
Welcome to our new workshop introducing you to Tunisian Crochet.
Tunisian crochet, also known as Afghan crochet, is a type of crochet that uses a long crochet hook, or a hook with a cable to create a fabric that looks similar to a knitted fabric. It was often used for cold-weather crafts like afghans, as well as blankets, dish towels, and washcloths. Our Coral is a Tunisian crochet advocate and guru having become obsessed with this craft years ago and is really excited at the opportunity to introduce you all to it.
This workshop is the perfect introduction to this craft where you will learn the Tunisian simple stitch, how to increase and decrease stitches and how. to change colours for both stripes and a woven effect whilst crocheting a lovely neckerchief. Having some experience of standard crochet is beneficial and will help you get the most out of this workshop but it is not 100% essential.
You don't need to bring anything with you as the following materials are provided and included in the price of your workshop.
● Pattern for the Neckerchief.
● A high quality Chiaogoo Tunisian crochet hook and 2 balls of Lamana Como extrafine merino yarn in your choice of colours. Worth £21 if purchased seperately.
● Darning needles and scissors to use in class
