Product Details 

Knitting for Olive Heavy Merino is made from 100% Merino wool. The yarn has a beautiful and natural structure. It is a soft and delicious yarn that is slightly less smooth than their thin Merino.

Their merino wool comes from sheep bred in New Zealand, where mulesing is not practised. The Knitting for Olive Heavy Merino wool can be traced directly back to the farm it comes from. In this way, we know exactly which farm, farmers, and sheep made our wool.

Merino wool has many excellent properties. It is temperature-regulating. That is, the wool keeps our bodies warm in cold weather and releases heat in warm weather, keeping our skin cool. At the same time, wool, like silk, can carry moisture away from the skin, and can absorb 30% of its weight without feeling wet.

Wool is also dirt-repellent and requires minimal care.

Knitting For Olive is a Danish yarn brand we absolutely love here at Knit With Me. Founded in 2015 by mother and daughter Pernille and Caroline, the company began as a small baby-and-toddler knitting-pattern business and has since grown into one of the most beautifully made, ethically produced yarn ranges available anywhere.
