Strength hides behind the shine, as silk is among the toughest natural fibres ever spun. Pure mulberry silk appears here in smooth, lustrous skeins, while tussah, gathered from wild silk moths, brings a naturally golden tone and a gently textured, tweedy surface. Most of the collection blends silk with other fibres: kid mohair for a glowing halo, merino for elasticity that silk itself lacks, and wool for everyday wear. Because the fibre drapes rather than springs back, it suits shawls, summer tops and garments with fluid movement, held single or doubled with a strand of mohair.
