Date: Saturday 9th May 2026 10am - 1pm
This workshop is an introduction to the Romanesco Bag pattern, where knitters will learn the main techniques and stitches involved in creating this bag including those incredible architectural spikes that Ranti is famous for and first showcased in the Romanesco Jumper back in 2023.

You will receive a printed copy of the Romanesco Bag pattern and Ranti will start with a walkthrough of the pattern, the available sizes and handle options, material selection tips, and how to read the knitting charts. Then you will have the opportunity to try the stitch techniques themselves with assistance and guidance from Ranti.

What to bring with you on the day -

 - Worsted/aran weight yarn and appropriate matching gauge needles. If you don't have anything we recommend a ball of our Cyrano Yarn and some 5/5.5mm needles or a ball of &Make Aran with some 4/4.5mm needles.

A little about Ranti -

Whilst at university, Ranti experimented with incorporating textiles with structure and has continued to do so ever since. Handmade by the designer at home, each piece combines texture and form to create unique wearable art pieces. Ranti Studio was founded in 2023 by London-based knitwear and architectural designer Ranti Ehinmola. She uses sustainably sourced materials to craft fun, textured knitted pieces, aiming to amplify all the possibilities of hand-knitting. Ranti's online following on Instagram shot up once she decided to knit her own wedding dress and we all had so much fun following her incredible journey.
