Good morning lovely crafters. What a glorious week or two it's been weather wise and for me it has really been needed. The linen, silk and cotton has been flying out the door as you all plan your summer projects and we have been super excited to help with your plans. I also had a wee trip up to Scotland with some close friends. This was a great change of pace for me and did me the world of good. I've come back feeling refreshed and ready to go!
Another glorious thing that has happened recently is that we hit 40k followers on Instagram! WOW! We genuinely cannot believe it. A huge warn welcome to all our new followers. It's an honour to have you follow us and join our community of crafters. Our Coral immediately messaged me to say that if we wanted the whole Knit With Me community to gather in one place, we would have to book Chelsea Football Ground Stamford Bridge and we would actually fill it! Mind blown.
THANK YOU x
Our last non-workshop related newsletter went out at the start of March, which for me wasn't that long ago, but we have had an incredible amount of new loveliness arrive in store since then and therefore we had to reach out and tell you all about them.
Here we go...
New In

Lace Silk Mohair | Ainsworth & Prin
£24.00
As Amelia and I would say ... Yum.com. I've been eyeing up this base from The Knitting Shed for a long time and I think Nicola and Louise were getting a little bored of me trying to make colour choices. In the end I went to visit them to take a look at them all together. What a difficult decision as well as an absolute treat. I had planned on getting maybe 6 colours, but ended up with 14 ... oops!
The colours are divine, as with all their yarn, and I'm incredibly glad I got these in. I immediately had to knit with it and the Gold/Green Woodworm was screaming at me from the wall each time I passed by. I knit the Light Loop Sweater by Other Loops holding two threads of the silk mohair together. The modifications I made were simple. I added some ribbing to the bottom hem, and after picking up the sleeve stitches as instructed I knit 8 rounds of ribbing before binding off to make it short sleeved. Isn't it glorious? I knit a Medium and needed 2 skeins of the A&P silk mohair and even had some left over.

Løvetand by CaMaRose
£8.35
Another beauty from Trine's Camarose brand, Løvetand, is now in store with us. We wanted to find a summer yarn that would knit well as a DK weight on a 4mm needle and we found it with this fabulous chainette linen. As with all linen, this fibre softens with washing and wear and provides the most incredible drape. I actually found it easier to work with than spun linen due to its chainette structure which gave it the slightest elasticity making handling more comfortable. As with all of the yarn we get in, I felt the need to make something immediately, it would be rude not to right? I cast-on the Busan Tee by Aeygoknits and you guys have LOVED it as much as I have. I used colour 446 Valmue and needed 7 balls to make a size 2.

Contemplation II Cowl Knitting Kit by Chroma Nima
£45.00
Chroma Nimas cashmere yarn is the most glorious, traceable, organic fibre which is hand dyed by Vicky in her Bloomsbury studio in London. The yarn is dyed with a drop of GOTS certified natural indigo or cochineal dye making each skein an individual piece of art as the dye travels through the yarn on its own journey. This yarn is crazy pretty and the Contemplation II cowl pattern, which comes as part of this kit, is the perfect companion to show it off at its best. Knit on the recommended 3mm needles and using just yarn overs and decreases, this provides a perfect introduction to lace knitting.

Gepard Garn
The day has finally come and it's a very exciting one. We had been in touch with Gepard when we first opened our doors over two and a half years ago, but due to availability, exclusivity deals and lack of space in the shop, it ever really happened. Now that a few things have changed, along with the fact that The Fibre. Co. is on sale which frees up space in store, we were able to welcome this brand to store. Yay!
We have started with CottonWaves, HørSilke, Pura Lana, CottonWool 5 Organic and Teddy Dear with Cashmere Lace due later in May and Woolia due later in the year once we are past the summer season. Each of these bases brings something new to our collection here at KWM and we will be talking about them in more detail over the next couple of weeks. You can find all the info on the website along with a new "Pattern Recommendations" tab for lots of fun ideas for each base.
Some of out top choices to get you started are 1. Phoenix sweater by Moreca Knit in CottonWool 5 Organic, 2. Summer Damage Vest by Grey Level Knitter in CottonWaves, 3. Chantal Top by Moreca Knit in HórSilke held with Host Titicaca, 4. Sweater no. 32 by My Favourite Things Knitwear in Pura Lana, 5. Audrey Jacket by Cheryl Mokhtari in Teddy Dear

Ice-Dyed Project Bags
These fabulous Jose Rose project bags are made from ice dyed cotton for a truly unique and individual design, which makes the perfect home for any craft project. These beautiful project bags are fully lined with interfacing for a little structure and added squishiness. The L and XL bags have interior pockets to help keep everything organised. They also each have a little tab inside with a ring attached to allow you to keep your stitch markers close to hand, hang a notions pouch from or use to pull your working yarn through to keep your ball of yarn in place.

Back in Stock ... Finally
They have arrived back with us, but we have a huge wait list so they may go quickly. Unfortunately the demand for the new Quad Tips and the Swivel Adaptors from Chiaogoo out-stripped supply and we have been waiting for quite a while to get them back in. You may not need these with your quad tips, but I have found them helpful to prevent the tips from unscrewing from the cables with the way I hold my needles. These can also be used with the original needles to turn them into swivels. Definitely worth a try!
On My Needles
I'm currently working on the Halo Loop Tee by Other Loops using Lamana Como in Khaki an Chilli. It's a very easy repeat to remember and it's knitting up quite quickly. I adore Como yarn as it's super soft and bouncy and extremely light. Looking forward to finishing this one and wearing it. We have Como in an incredible 40 colours offering lots of different possibilities and we would love to help you choose your perfect combo.
Well there we go, a bit of a catch up on what's new in store! Well done for getting to the end. We will doing a Friday Inspo Live this week on Instagram if you want to join us where I'll touch on some of the patterns we highlighted above in this newsletter and also show some others that have caught our eye along with yarn and colour suggestions. As always it would be great to have you join us, but if not you can always catch up afterwards as we re-post it to our grid page.
Happy Knitting!
Carol and the team x
