Product Details
In our Sashiko Workshop you will create a beautiful hand-stitched pouch filled with natural cedar wood, traditionally used to help protect clothing from moths while adding a subtle woodland scent.
Perfect for beginners and returning stitchers alike, with gentle guidance throughout by our fabulous teacher Alicia.
Inspired by the Japanese art of sashiko, this relaxing workshop explores a stitching tradition that began centuries ago as a way to strengthen, repair, and care for textiles. Today, sashiko is celebrated for its simple beauty, mindful rhythm, and connection to slow living.
Using reclaimed denim sourced from discarded jeans, each workshop kit is individually prepared by hand, ensuring every pouch carries its own character and story. Through simple, rhythmic stitching, you'll create a practical and beautiful piece while giving materials a second life.
.
All tools and materials are provided. Leave with a handcrafted cedar pouch, new stitching skills, and a deeper appreciation for the beauty of repair and reuse.
