Colour: 102 Raw White

CottonWaves by Gepard is a chunky cotton yarn that creates a textured and slubby fabric. Gepard CottonWaves is a unique cotton and linen mix with incredible character that we haven't seen replicated anywhere else. Cottonwaves yarn is great used on 4.5-8 mm needles and makes you think of oceans, summer and soft waves and is the perfect summer yarn choice for tops and oversized sweaters.

Made of 10% linen + 90% cotton, CottonWaves yarn is available in both classic and trend colours which means there is something for everyone and is turning out to me another classic base from the Gepard yarn collection.

Yarn Details

Fibre: Cotton 90% and 10% Linen

Ball size/meterage: 50g/60m

Recommended Needles: 4.5-8mm

Recommended Gauge: 12-16st per 10cm

We always recommend if machine washing that you test your washing machine with a swatch as each washing machine is very different.

We recommend washing CottonWaves either by hand or in the machine – and always using a laundry bag, even during the spin cycle.

After washing, lay your garment flat on a towel and shape it gently.

If you’re knitting with relatively large needles, meaning your fabric is a bit airy and not tightly knit, it’s even more important to always use a laundry bag.

In general, we recommend using a laundry bag for all handknits.

About Gepard Garn

Gepard yarn was established by Sus Gepard in 1989. They are a Danish brand influenced by Scandinavian style and design traditions.

Gepard collaborates with small, family-owned, Italian yarn mills with long traditions and extensive knowledge of spinning and dying. This knowledge makes them among the premier in Italy both for trend product and classic yarns.

Sus Gebhard has created an entire universe of knitting where you’ll be able to find not only high quality yarns, but also pattern collections full of inspiration.

The story of Gepard is the story of an artisan and her vision, creativity, and passion for the best yarns to create finished products that are beautiful as well as durable.
Yarn is never just yarn, never just the soft thread – history, culture and technique is, and has always been, essential to the development of new yarns.

Every fibre has its own personality, and mixing them together in a harmonious balance is a unique and exciting challenge that always has to result in a yarn that is a joy both to knit and to wear.

In the entire production process, Gepard have a focus on high quality products, and a consideration for both people and the environment.
