Snefnug by CaMaRose is a super soft, light, airy and full-bodied yarn which exclusively consists of natural materials in an extra delicate blend of 55% baby alpaca, 10% extra fine merino wool and 35% organic cotton. It comprises a cotton tube into which a fine blend of merino wool and baby alpaca is blown. Altogether, this gives a strong and at the same time, super soft, light and exclusive yarn. It is particularly suitable for baby and children’s knitwear, as well as for oversize knitwear for adults such as sweaters, cardigans, scarfs, and hats.

SNEFNUG comes in an incredible range of colours, so there is plenty of opportunity to express your own colour personality.

It is recommended to HAND WASH the finished work with wool detergent and lay it flat to dry.

Yarn Composition: made from 55% Alpaca, 35% Organic Cotton, and 10% Merino wool, the cotton is the core (Chainette structure) into which the Merino and Alpaca fibres are blown.

Yarn Gauge: This yarn is a chunky knitting weight, but can be used with a wide range of knitting needle sizes due to its chainette structure. 

Gauge: Using 4mm needles, it gives 12-16 stitches x 24 rows in a 10 x 10cm swatch.

Recommend Knitting Needles:  4mm - 6mm needles (US 6 - 10)

Recommend Crochet hook: 4.0 mm to 6.0 mm  hook (US G/6 to J/10)

Knitting Machine: Cannot be used on a knitting machine, as it is too thick a yarn. 

Care instructions: Best to hand-wash with a no-rinse detergent, then shape the fabric on a flat surface (e.g., a towel) and lay flat to dry.
