Overview
Fern Tee | Intermediate Knitting Kit | Pattern & Knitting for Olive Pure Silk Yarn
Fern Tee is a simple, feminine short-sleeved blouse worked in the round from the top down with 1 strand of Merino, Cotton Merino, or Pure Silk. This Kit includes KFO Pure SIlk. The Fern Tee features an allover textured pattern, and the elegant i-cord edges give the blouse a clean, classy look.
This kit lets you select the size to knit the pattern and the colour of the Knitting for Olive Pure Silk yarn; it will then calculate how many balls of Pure Silk you will need.
Fern Tee Kit includes -
- Free PDF knitting pattern emailed to you from Knit WIth Me
- Enough yarn in your chosen colour to knot the pattern as instructed in your chosen size. If you decide to adapt the pattern or lengthen the body or arms you may need more yarn.
Fern Tee is intended to be fitted and is therefore designed with negative ease. To choose the correct size, look at the ‘to fit chest circumference’ measurements on the "sizing information" tab. If your actual chest circumference is, say, 98 cm [38½”], you should choose to knit a size M in order to achieve the intended fit.

About Knitting for Olive
Knitting for Olive is a Danish family-run yarn company founded in 2015 by mother and daughter Pernille and Caroline, with son and brother Alexander joining the business in 2022. What began as a small line of baby and toddler knitting patterns grew into a full range of designs for children and adults, and in 2016, the family launched their own yarn, starting with Merino and later expanding to include Soft Silk Mohair, Pure Silk, No Waste Wool, and more.
Ethical production sits at the core of the brand. Knitting for Olive is certified to the Responsible Wool Standard and Responsible Mohair Standard, meaning their wool and mohair can be traced from farm to finished yarn, and their silk is produced cruelty-free using threads from cocoons the silkworms have already left naturally. Their No Waste Wool range even reuses excess wool fibres that would otherwise be discarded during yarn production, blended with Merino for durability.
Beyond yarn and patterns, the company has a strong focus on social responsibility, regularly donating proceeds from sales to humanitarian causes and charitable initiatives. With its roots in Copenhagen and two physical stores in Denmark, Knitting for Olive has grown into a brand trusted by knitters worldwide for combining quality natural fibres with genuine care for animals, workers and the environment.
