In 2001, Import Chompas was created with a mission to introduce ILLIMANI to the North American market, a luxury ready-to-wear collection of alpaca and llama wool apparel hand-made by artisans in Bolivia.

After many years in the fashion business, Illimani decided it is time to focus on the yarn; by applying all their experience on knits and fine wools to carefully select the very best natural yarns in the world at unbeatable prices.

Illimani has worked with thousands of artisans in Bolivia and Peru, many of which have mastered the art of knitting and crocheting. Their mission is to provide the materials and the inspiration to customers to help them create their own artisanal textiles.

Illimani also works along with international aid organizations to support artisans in the Bolivian and Peruvian Andes commercialize their products in the North American markets.

Knit With Me ships using Royal Mail Tracked 24 services to UK addresses. Orders are dispatched the same day if placed before 3 pm Monday to Friday. Orders placed after 3 pm on a Friday will not be dispatched until Monday. The Tracked 24 shipping option from Royal Mail usually takes 1-2 working days to arrive.

Click and Collect
Orders for Click & Collect can be collected from the Knit With Me shop in Richmond 24 hours after placing your order and during our physical shop opening hours. (Wednesday to Friday 11.30 am - 4 pm and Saturday 11:30 am - 5 pm)
