An alpaca farm in Warwickshire started all of this. Kerry Lord founded TOFT there in 2006, spinning yarn from the family herd, and the crochet empire that followed still bears the farm's stamp, right down to pom poms made of real alpaca fur. Edward's Menagerie, the pattern series that made the brand famous, is named after her son. The shop carries the animal kits, doll and mini menagerie books, toy stuffing by the tote and a row counter, everything needed to fill a shelf with woollen wildlife
