Composed of ten strands of well-twisted combed linen, Antigone yarn offers a smooth, silky, and refreshingly cool feel. Knit this versatile yarn with fine needles for a uniform texture or use larger needles to highlight its natural drape, making it ideal for a wide range of patterns. Perfect for mid-season jumpers, summer tops, lace cardigans, or crocheted shopping bags!
De rerum natura antigone yarn is crafted from flax grown in Normandy by the Terre de Lin cooperative, promoting ancient cultivation practices to preserve soil and produce high-quality fibers without chemical inputs. These long fibers are meticulously wet-spun in Lithuania, creating a regular, soft, and naturally shiny yarn, which is then twisted and dyed in the Creuse region of France.
Named after the character in Jean Anouilh's plays, Antigone embodies a spirit of resilience and quality.
