Le Gros Silk & Mohair is spun and dyed in Italy, in mills renowned for their expertise and for their respectful, responsible practices toward both the environment and the people who work there.
The silk comes from leftover silk and from cocoons from which the butterflies have already emerged ensuring a fibre made with respect for animal life.
The mohair comes from South African farms committed to sustainable and respectful practices. The Angora goats are shorn gently by skilled hands, in calm and safe conditions. They live outdoors, have access to fresh water, veterinary care, and are protected from predators.
