The Lucy Wrap is worked from the top down in stockinette stitch. First, the back is worked and shaped using German short rows. Stitches are then picked up for the shoulders, and the yoke is worked back and forth with increases for the sleeves and the slanted front edges. The body is likewise worked back and forth with increases for the slanted front edges. The sleeves are worked in the round in stockinette stitch. Finally, double-knitted ties are worked and joined with picked-up stitches along the front edges of the wrap.

Knit a gauge swatch to find the needle size that gives you the correct gauge. Wash the swatch before measuring the gauge.
