Nordic Knits- Special Edition Laine Magazine

We are thrilled to introduce something truly special: Nordic Knits, a one-off special issue of Laine! As the name suggests, this edition is a celebration of Nordic knitting traditions. Packed with 164 pages, it offers more knitwear patterns than before — 17 in total! These patterns are crafted by Nordic designers or designers with Nordic roots, and we have also included a few timeless classics from beloved Nordic yarn brands. Every pattern features yarns from Nordic manufacturers, ranging from established brands to small, artisanal hand-dyeing studios. 

Laine Nordic Knits includes: 

• 164 pages 

• 17 knitting patterns (both charts and written instructions provided): 9 sweaters, 3 cardigans, 1 vest, 1 slipover, 2 hats and 1 shawl 

• An interview with the Danish knitwear design superstar Mette Wendelboe Okkels, aka PetiteKnit, known for her classic and slightly minimalistic knits. 

• A feature about Linkulla Spinneri, a small artisan spinning mill that produces yarn made from Finnish sheep and alpaca wool. 

• Interesting new yarns and haberdashery from Nordic brands. 

The knits were created by the following designers and yarn brands: Jenny Ansah, Kristin Drysdale, Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk, Ronja Hakalehto, Tiina Huhtaniemi, Caitlin Hunter, Marianne Isager, Åse Lund Jensen, Susanna Kaartinen, Eli Leistad (aka Skeindeer), Lotta H. Löthgren, Tiia Reho, Sandnes Garn and Anna Sjösvärd.
