We are really excited for the arrival of Nordic Knits 2. Following the success of the first Laine Nordic Knits, which sold out quickly, the much-anticipated second issue brings together 15 beautiful, timeless patterns celebrating contemporary Nordic knitwear design. Created by Nordic designers and yarn brands using Nordic yarns, it has everything we loved about the first issue, with a fresh new collection for the season ahead.
Nordic knitting is shaped by so much more than a particular look. It is found in the yarns we choose, the clothes we make for everyday life, and the designers, makers and traditions that continue to shape our knitting culture.
Across its 148 pages, you’ll find 15 patterns by designers and yarn brands from around the Nordic countries, from cosy sweaters and cardigans to smaller accessories. Beyond the patterns, the issue takes us into the wider Nordic knitting world: we meet Norwegian designer Ane Fiskum Sunde, known as Novemberknits, and travel with Lotta H. Löthgren to a small spinning mill on the Swedish island of Gotland.
Designers featured in this issue: Fiona Alice, Helga Isager, Anna Johanna, Védís Jónsdóttir / Ístex, Meiju Kallio, Henna Ketonen, Knitting for Olive, Pauliina Leisti, Sari Nordlund, Sara Ottosson, Saara Toikka / Novita.
