A luxuriously soft and squishy pair of socks for padding around the house, knitted with a strand of sock yarn and a strand of mohair silk lace held together. This kit includes the printed pattern, one skein of Ainsworth & Prin Classic Sock and one skein of Ainsworth & Prin Lace Silk Mohair.

Sizes: Three sizes. To fit foot circumference 19.5 (22: 24.5) cm / 7¾ (9: 10¾) in.

Tension: 23 sts and 32 rounds to 10 cm / 4 in over 2 x 2 rib using 3.75 mm / US 5 needles, measured slightly stretched and after blocking.

Reference materials (yarn provided): Ainsworth & Prin Classic Sock (80% superwash merino, 20% nylon; 365 m per 100 g) held together with Ainsworth & Prin Lace Silk Mohair (72% kid mohair, 28% silk; 50 g / 420 m). One skein of each.

About the Yarn

Ainsworth & Prin Classic Sock is a hand-dyed merino and nylon fingering-weight yarn; Lace Silk Mohair is a luxuriously fluffy hand-dyed kid mohair and silk blend. Held together they make a soft, warm, haloed fabric.

About The Knitting Shed

The Knitting Shed is run by sisters Louise and Nicola, based in West Sussex at the edge of the South Downs. Brought up in a family of makers, they design hand dyed yarns and knitting patterns inspired by the local landscape around their period cottages.
