Utility Two has the distinctive stripe of a no-nonsense, serviceable herringbone tweed, but a squishy DK sock yarn gives it a soft cosiness that belies its scratchy inspiration. For the best stripe definition, choose a solid or semi-solid shade alongside a contrasting variegated yarn, or two solid or semi-solid yarns in contrasting colours.

Finished measurements: Circumference: 60 cm / 23½ in; Height: 25.5 cm / 10 in.
Tension: 26 sts and 53 rounds to 10 cm / 4 in in pattern using 4 mm / US 7 needles, after blocking.
